Bears Mauling Cougars: PSJA Dominates ENHS

The Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Bears cruised to a 41-7 victory over the Edinburg North Cougars in Friday night's District 31-6A matchup, dominating on both offense and defense.

Right from the start, the Bears took control of the game. Quarterback Myles Lopez led the way with sharp passes and quick-footed runs, keeping the Cougars’ defense on edge all night. His smart reads and precise timing proved to be key as he moved the Bears down the field.

The Bears’ offensive line played a major role, giving Lopez plenty of time to make plays and opening up running lanes for the backs. Their steady performance kept the offense moving smoothly, with consistent gains through both the air and ground.

On the defensive side, the Bears put the pressure on, never allowing the Cougars to find a rhythm. The defensive line was relentless, forcing hurried throws, while the linebackers and secondary made crucial tackles and grabbed interceptions to keep Edinburg North off balance.

The Bears’ special teams also chipped in with effective punting and solid kickoff coverage, keeping the Cougars pinned back and limiting their chances to get anything going.

With this win, the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Bears remain a strong contender in District 31-6A. Their balanced attack, solid defense, and disciplined special teams make them a team to watch as they aim for a district title and a deep playoff run.
