Sharyland defeats Nikki Rowe, Week 3

MISSION, TEXAS - Sharyland High's dominant defense and quarterback Bo Krell's multi-dimensional performance led to a 22-7 victory over the McAllen Rowe Warriors in a non-district game at Richard Thompson Stadium in Mission. The first quarter saw a defensive showcase from both teams, with neither offense gaining traction. Sharyland High's Homero Garcia intercepted a pass late in the first quarter, setting the stage for a 20-yard touchdown pass from Krell to Fabian Garza early in the second quarter.

The Rattlers continued their defensive prowess in the third quarter, as Caden Requenez's interception provided excellent field position, leading to a 5-yard touchdown pass from Krell to Santiago Longoria, extending the lead to 15-0. The Warriors fought back in the fourth quarter with a 2-yard touchdown run by Isaiah Mata, making it a one-possession game. However, Sharyland High responded with a decisive 12-play, 63-yard drive, consuming nearly nine minutes and culminating in Krell's 8-yard touchdown run to secure the victory.

Bo Krell showcased his versatility, finishing 12-of-25 for 132 yards and two touchdowns through the air, and adding eight carries for 10 yards and a rushing touchdown. Homero Garcia played a pivotal role on defense, contributing two interceptions and one fumble recovery. Sharyland High (2-1) looks ahead to a non-district matchup against Weslaco High, while the Warriors (1-2) open District 15-5A DI competition against La Joya Palmview at McAllen Veterans Memorial Stadium.
